Web-Scraping

I worked in a small team to design an application that monitors website changes that a user specifies and sends notification updates. This is useful for when someone wants to know when there is a price change on a product, or when a website updates I was a part of the web scraping team in charge of extracting data from websites using Chromium and Puppeteer. This project helped me learn what web scraping is and how it works. I also strengthened my communication skills by working with the frontend and backend teams to make sure we were on the same page. I joined this team through the Aggie Coding Club at Texas A&M. The GitHub to this project can be found here.

Honors Activities

I was a part of a team given a database of students and which engineering honors activities they attended. Our task was to analyze the data and present it in a way for the counselors to understand which events were the most popular. I learned how to clean up messy data to make it easier to analyze. I also learned how to decide what kind of data would be best to present to our audience. I joined this team through the Aggie Data Science Club.

Future Projects and Teams I would like to be a part of

I am interested in machine learning and I would love to be a part of a team that collects and analyzes data. I have taken classes in statistics and have plans to take future classes in machine learning and data science. I have learned about different types of machine learning models and how to train and test them. I was introduced to machine learning through Kaggle where I learned how to manipulate data to strengthen a model. Currently, I have a work-in-progress project with the intention to predict college football game outcomes using a machine learning model.
